I have black stool and swelling all over body

Dear Patient: Really sorry to hear the trouble your passing through. A Hb % of 7.8 confirms the diagnosis of Anemia. The major causes of Anemia are malnutrition, loss of blood or some genetic disorders in blood formation.

The swelling all over the body which is noticed is one of the symptoms of severe anemia. It occurs due to accumulation of fluids in water. The black stools which you have noticed can be Malena, which is nothing but digested blood found in stools.

Therefore its best if you can visit a surgeon who can diagnose the source of this bleeding which can be the cause of Anemia. Hence once the source is identified and treated it would even prevent deterioration of Anemia. Best of luck with that.
