My 63 year old mother finds no taste and unable to eat.

Dear Patient: Usually with fever the tongue gets coated and hence the taste of food is not felt properly. In elderly persons also the taste may be decrease. The tablet you mentioned could be a multivitamin and if you had mentioned its name it would be better. Try to give her different foods in a week; that will improve the taste.
