Dear Patient: The allergic manifestations of the respiratory tract present as a respiratory disease. It’s the predisposition to the allergy that causes it. Try to prevent allergens like dust, pollen, dander, cold air etc. it’s the increased respiratory secretions due to allergic response of the mucosa that accumulate and cause infection and respiratory problems. In case of Asthma, it’s the narrowing of the respiratory tract along with increased secretions that bring trouble. Please visit a Pulmonologist near you for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment. An X-ray of the chest with AP and Lateral views and a complete blood picture with differential leucocyte count (DLC) would be of help.
