Poorly marginated hypodense lesion

Dear Doctor: ?

Dear Patient: Your mother has two issues. First is with metastatic tumors in liver and second with a cyst in kidney. Cyst in kidney is simple and exophytic, mean mostly benign and harmless, until renal parameters of the blood are normal. Mostly it has nothing to do with liver metastasis. Coming to metastasis in liver, it is harmful, and many times life threatening. Metastasis means spread of cancer from origin organ to other organs. So, in your mother case, the origin of cancer should be worked out, and treatment and prognosis purely depends on origin organ of cancer and type of cancer. Consult an oncologist for detailed checkup and investigation for further followup.
