Dr Pankaj Garg is a colorectal surgeon based in Chandigarh. He is one of the international experts in the field of Anal Fistula, Hemorrhoids and Anal Fissures. He has Invented 5 new operations, 3 new treatment concepts and 2 discoveries which have been published in the top global medical journals. On May 21, 2014 at Hollywood, Florida, USA, Dr Garg gave a lecture on "Garg Perfact Procedure", his new invention, at an annual conference of AMERICAN Society of Colorectal Surgeons (ASCRS).  This is the latest in procedures to cure Fistula-in-ano. It is associated with a small cut, less pain and no risk of incontinence. The required hospital stay is less than a day and the patient resumes all his/her daily activities from the very next day of the surgery. The success rate of this procedure is also more than other newer methods like VAAFT or MAFT (Video Assisted Anal Fistula Treatment), LIFT (Ligation of Intersphincteric Fistula tract), Anal Fistula PLUG or GLUE.

Dr. Pankaj Garg has authored and co-authored more than 70 articles (more than 60 as first author) in high impact European and US journals (including Nature series). Five Meta-analysis which is the highest form of publication in top global journals. He has been invited by top surgical societies in USA to deliver lectures for the past several years.
