Served as a full time Professor of Cardio thoracic surgery at Sheth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital and evinced keen interest in teaching for over 10 years before entering into the practice world in 1983.
Joined Jaslok Hospital and then Breach Candy Hospital and then gradually was invited to join most of the major hospitals in Mumbai.
Invented, designed and patented a few surgical instruments, the most important ones being Atrial Retractor for Mitral Valve Replacement and Internal Mammary Artery Retractor for taking down bilateral Internal Mammary Arteries
