ILS Hospital, Salt Lake, is an ISO 2000 organization began as a 8 bedded Specialty Clinic for Laparoscopic surgeries in 2000 in Salt Lake, Kolkata.The 8 bedded clinic has blossomed into a 80 bedded hospital during the decade. In 2005, Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery was rechristened as ILS Hospital to reflect its multispecialty offerings which evolved around laparoscopy. Today ILS Hospital, Salt Lake is considered a centre of excellence for Minimal Access Surgery in the fields of gastroenterology, gynecology, urology and orthopedics. More than 100 bariatric surgeries for cure of obesity have been conducted at ILS Hospital Salt Lake with results comparable to international benchmarks during the last few months.
