Asthma and Bronchitis are two different inflammatory airway respiratory disorders. Acute bronchitis is inflammation of lining of the airways caused by viral or bacterial infections. Asthma is an inflammatory condition that tightens muscles around the airways and swelling that results in narrowing of airways. Tobacco smoke, pollution, chemicals, weather changes, viral or bacterial infections, allergens, strong emotions (as laughing or crying), and certain medications are some of the factors that trigger Asthmatic Bronchitis.
