Bed wetting is extremely common in kids but trouble increases if it lasts into teen years. Bedwetting is involuntary urination during sleep even after crossing 7 years. Bedwetting is also called nocturnal enuresis or urinary incontinence. Bed-wetting is more common in boys compared to girls which can be treated with patience. Some of the factors that may cause bed wetting are a small bladder, inability to recognize a full bladder, stress, hormonal imbalance, urinary tract infection, sleep apnea, diabetes and chronic constipation.
Some of the symptoms of Bedwetting:
- Involuntary urination during nights even after 7 years age
- Bed wetting may be accompanied by painful urination
- Unusual thirst
- Pink or red urine
- Hard stools
- Snoring
