Blood Cancer is the mother term used for cancers that affect the blood, bone marrow, and lymphatic system. The blood cancers affect the production and function of the blood cells, usually starts in bone marrow where the blood is produced. The uncontrolled growth of an abnormal type of blood cells affects the normal blood development process preventing the blood from performing several functions like fighting with infections or preventing serious bleeding. Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma are the three main types of blood cancers.
