Continental Hospitals Earns the International Gold Seal of Approval

Continental Hospitals has been accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International, USA) - the highest body of accreditation in the world. Continental Hospitals is the FIRST in India, the State of Telangana, & the FIRST Multispecialty Hospital (with Oncology) in the world to get “International Accreditation” (JCI) in less than 2 years. It is also the FIRST Hospital in the Indian subcontinent to obtain the “Gold Seal” in the FIRST attempt.

JCI standards represent a worldwide consensus on quality patient care that reflects state-of-the-art health care practices and health care delivery trends. Accreditation engages the organization’s governing board, professional staff and administration in a cooperative effort to continuously improve patient care.

JCI accredits hospitals essentially for the highest implementation of patient-centered standards. These include both clinical care and organizational management standards, such as access to care, international patients safety goals, assessment of patients, anaesthesia & surgical care, medication management & use, infection control, patient and family rights and education. The standards also address facility management and safety, staff qualifications, quality improvement, patient safety, organizational governance and leadership, and management of information and communications.

The Guest of Honor Dr.Prabhu Vinayagam, Managing Director, JCI, (Asia Pacific Region) graced the Press Meet held at the Hotel Taj Krishna and presented “ Gold Seal” citation of JCI international accreditation to Dr. Guru N Reddy, Chairman & MD, Continental Hospitals. He was proud of Continental Hospitals remarkable achievement in India as the first Hospital to be accredited in less than 2 years.
