Dr. Chandrashekar completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and MD (General Medicine) from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He served as a lecturer and an Assistant professor of Medicine in the Critical Care division of the same medical teaching hospital for 2 years. Subsequently, he did his National Board training in Nephrology and worked alongside eminent nephrologists at NU Trust Hospital and Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. He also headed the Department of Nephrology at Sri Narayani Hospital, Vellore and then became a core member of the transplant team at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore.
He has three years of postgraduate Medical teaching experience and nine years of Nephrology experience. He has carried out several thousand dialysis sessions and quite a large number of renal transplantations.
He has published articles in indexed journals and is currently a Journal Reviewer for a popular medical journal called 'Hemodialysis International.' He has won an award for best paper in the original article category at a national conference.
Dr. Chandrashekar also loves playing Carnatic violin and is passionate about Street photography.
