Dr. Anil Arora

Dr. Arora is a senior member of the transplant team and is also the teaching coordinator involved in all the Gastroenterology and Hepatology activities for all postgraduates and postdoctoral fellows at the Sir Ganga Ram, Hospital. He has earned the reputation as a patient-focused gastroenterologist and hepatologist, with a wide range of experience spaning over 26 years.

Dr Anil Arora, who has an immense and deep love of teaching clubbed with knowledge of the subject, and exposure  across various medical procedures makes him an excellent teacher. He has a perfect blend of medical and surgical skills, which along with administrative acumen, makes him an able administrator.

Dr Anil Arora provides comprehensive consultation, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatobiliary, and nutritional diseases. The service also includes inpatient and outpatient interventional and therapeutic gastroenterology care and services. He is completely dedicated to patient care, and ensures that the patient is comfortable while assuring his loved ones that the patient is in safe hands. This makes him very popular with the patients.

Dr. Anil Arora, who has expertise in gastroenterology, liver diseases, Therapeutic Endoscopy, Hepatology, Hematological problems, and abdominal pain, provides comprehensive consultation, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of all gastrointestinal related ailments.

Dr. Anil Arora completed MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982, following which he did his MD in medicine from the same institution in 1986. He went on to do his DNB - Medicine from National Board of Examination, New Delhi in 1987, and DM - Gastro from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1989.

Dr Anil has also done FCGP (Gold Medallist) from the Indian Medical Association, New Delhi in 1989, Fellowship in Liver Transplantation from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1999. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK in 2005, FIAMS - Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Sciences in 2007,  and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK in 2014.
