About

Dr. Arul Narayanan is a highly qualified Paediatric and Adult Congenital Interventional Cardiologist, trained in UK, currently working in Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Chennai. He has 11 years of experience in congenital cardiology. He has done an intensive, five-year paediatric cardiology training programme in UK, leading to a specialist recognition – Paediatric Cardiology CCST in UK and Europe (recognised by Indian Medical Council). He is also trained in Congenital Cardiac MRI and Pediatric Intensive Care.

He received training in very prestigious cardiology units like Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital in London, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, UK. Prior to Fortis Malar Hospital, he worked in Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore, where he established the Congenital Cardiac MRI service in collaboration with the radiology department. He has published numerous papers in leading international journals, and presents his work in international and national cardiology conferences.

He has done MRCPCH and was elected to the position of FRCPCH in UK. He did his MBBS from Madurai Medical College, and post-graduation from Madras Medical College.

He is highly skilled in all congenital cardiac interventions like ASD, PDA, VSD device closures, ballooning of pulmonary, aortic valve, stenotic pulmonary artery, coarctation of aorta and stenting of pulmonary artery, aorta etc.
