Dr. Bhaumik Thakor

Dr. Bhaumik Thakor is a dynamic neurosurgeon committed to patients’ well-being through emphathic approach to their health. Currently practising at Kiran Multi superspeciality hospital Surat, he did his M.B.B.S and M.S from B J Medical college Ahmedabad. He later completed his M.Ch in Neurosurgery from the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology(SCTIMST), Trivandrum, an institute of national importance. Over eight years in neurosurgery ,he has to his credit more than three thousand brain and spine surgeries. He has worked in some of the busiest hospitals including Civil hospital Ahmedabad, SCTIMST, NIMHANS, Wockhardt hospital. His  skill spectrum ranges from neurooncology, cerebrovascular , functional neurosurgery including epilepsy surgery, to brain and spine trauma . He has expertise in skull base tumors, aneurysm and vascular malformations,  in minimally invasive  spine surgeries  and spine fixation . He has developed keen interest in epilepsy surgery , which is a rising field in neurosurgery. At  Kiran hospital Surat, he is the first surgeon in South Gujarat to perform navigation guided brain surgeries.
