Dr. Debashish Danda

Dr. Debashish Danda is a Professor & Head of the Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology Department in Christian Medical College & Hospital located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, for over two decades. He is the Founder of the Department and its training programme at CMC Vellore which is eell-equipped with its own extremity videocapillaroscopy, MRI,sonography, realtime PCR and other facilities. He is working on developing the department further with India-centric relevant research with social commitments in the field of Rheumatology.

Dr. Danda is a clinical Rheumatologist who is involved in care of autoimmune rheumatic diseases, teaching, clinical and translational research. His special areas of interest include Sjogren Syndrome, Takayasu arteritis, Spondyloarthritis, Lupus and infection related rheumatism.

He is the President of Indian Rheumatology Association and is the Editor in Chief of International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases.
