The memento of expedition first began on January 19, 1987. The step up was initiated at small room clinic at Elite Nursing Home, opposite National College in Bandra. It was inaugurated by Smt. Chandrika Kenia the then Health Minister of Maharashtra. 

 In the familial role, and as a responsible kid, Dr Niteen Dedhia has stood up to every expectation of his parents.  He proved his excellence in every spirit and chose to become an Ophthalmologist. He treasures the blessings of his parents Smt Naliniben visionary in social activities and Dr.Chhaganlal Dedhia Renowned Surgeon in Neurology 1st Doctor F.A.C.S (Fellow of Royal College U.K)

Dr Niteen Dedhia and his team selflessly invested their time, efforts and soon borne the fruitful results of happy patients and contented smiles. Within a span of 5 years, the response from the patients was eminent and soon converted as the more reliable eye care clinic for various treatments. In order to expedite the treatments to large numbers of patients, Dr Niteen Dedhia Started the second branch in the heart of city Opera House. The satisfied smile and response tremendously rose and grew further. Then there was no turning back. To fulfill the needs of advanced treatments, modern machinery methods and bigger space, Ojas Eye Hospital relocated to Roseland Building, 180 Water field Road Bandra (W).

In the span of 27 years of Career growth, Dr Niteen Dedhia and Ojas Eye Hospital has done various illimitable achievements and always with the grounded attitude faced the waves of all leaps and bounds.  In the present time, the centre has NASA and ISO Certified equipment for Advance Eye Correction Treatments and Surgery. The 3D Live surgery performed at Ojas Laser Eye Surgery Center (Bandra) was one of its kind in Advance treatments in India. Ojas is one of the pioneers in starting Phenomenal Micro incision techniques of removing Cataract with the implantation of a foldable Intra-ocular lens. The surgery was initially performed on 25th January 1992 with good results. Ojas was the first eye care centre to do the operation without the use of injection Anaesthesia. The state of the art equipment is available and imported from Germany, USA and Japan.

With 45 familial team members of doctors, assistants and admin staff, Ojas eye care is blooming with happiness and has even opened up a branch in Kandivali.

Dr Niteen Dedhia graduated with M.B.B.S & M.S Ophthalmology from T.N Medical College (Nair Hospital) in the year 1983 and 1987 respectively. The consistent increase in innovation and enthusiasm of learning new technology, Dr Dedhia went to West Germany in 1992 to pursue further surgical training under Dr. Hans Reinard Koch.
