Dr. (Prof.) Yog Raj Sharma is awarded Padma Shri for the year 2015. He is the chief of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi since March 2014. He is the director of World Health Organization (WHO) SEA Centre for Ophthalmology. He has vast experience in the field of teaching the MBBS, MD (Ophthalmology) and Vitreo- Retina Fellows. Dr. Yog Raj is the first Ophthalmologist to be appointed to an academic position at UAE University in UAE in 1992.
