Dr. Rajeev Aggarwal started his medical career by doing MBBS from the Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University, Meerut. He, then, went on to do his MD in Medicine from the same university, and DM in Cardiology from the G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Agarwal won the Pfizer Medallion for being the All-round Topper in the MBBS examinations. He was awarded several Gold Medals as well. 

Dr. Agarwal has, to his credit, a number of papers published in reputed National and International Journals. He has made presentations at conferences, symposia, and meetings in India and abroad. In 1996, he was awarded the Meerut Ratna from the All India Intellectual Society, and in October 2007, he was decorated by the Vaishya Samaj, Meerut, for Outstanding Services to Society.
