Dr. Rajeev Sharan has more than 20 years of exclusive experience in head and neck oncosurgery, surgical oncology and thyroid surgeries, working in premier institutions like AIIMS, New Delhi, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin and Tata Medical Center, Kolkata.

Dr Sharan, an MBBS graduate of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), N.Delhi, completed his MS and Senior Residency in Surgical Oncology from AIIMS,Delhi. He completed his MCh in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.

Before joining HCG EKO Cancer Centre, Kolkata, Dr. Sharan was working as a Senior Consultant in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology & Robotic Head Neck Surgery at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, an exclusive state of art cancer centre in Eastern and North East region where he started the department of Head and Neck Oncosurgery with his colleague and made it world class. Previously Dr Sharan had started department of Surgical Oncology and  state of art comprehensive Head and Neck Oncosurgery unit at Paras HMRI Hospital Patna.

He has keen interest in robotic scarless neck surgery, transoral robotic surgery TORS,  robotic thyroidectomy, endoscopic thyroid surgery, advanced oral cancer, Laser laryngeal surgery, parotid cancer,thyroid cancer, endoscopic and robotic neck dissection, oral cancer, paranasal sinus cancer, laryngopharyngeal surgery, microvascular free flap reconstruction along with cancer stem cell research.

He has several publications to his credit in reputed national and international journals in various aspects of oncology, head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction.
