Dr. Randeep Guleria is awarded Padma Shri in year 2015. He is a senior consultant Pulmonologist associated with All India Institue of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. He serves as a professor and the head of the department of pulmonary medicine and sleep disorders at AIIMS. He has acquired various awards and honors including "Raj Nanda Pulmonary Disease Fellowship" awarded by Raj Nanda Trust and the Royal College of Physicians, UK jointly in for training and his research. Dr. Randeep has published over 268 research articles and written 36 book chapters.

 

Dr. Randeep has been the personal physician to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India. He is an active member of the WHO Scientific Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) working group for influenza vaccination and immunization. He is a consultant on radiation protection in medicine for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna. He is a member of several national bodies including WHO Epidemiology.
