Dr. Sivaramakrishna Iyer Padmavati (born in 1917) is the India's first and the oldest woman Heart specialist. She is the director of National Heart Institute in Delhi and the founder president of All India Heart Foundation. She was the recipient of Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan awards. she has practiced with the renowned hospitals in India and post-retirement she has set up National Heart Institute, Delhi. Dr. Padmavati has done research on high blood pressure, coronary artery disease and rheumatic heart disease. she was also a recipient of Harward Medical International, BC Roy award, and Kamla Menon Research award. She has conducted various Heart camps to bring awareness in people with heart disease and its causes.
