  • Conversant with intracavitary, interstitial, intraluminal and surface mould brachytherapy techniques using after loaded Cesium and Iridium sources.
  • Familiar with remote after loading brachytherapy equipment e.g., Selectron (LDR/ MDR and HDR), micro - selectron HDR as well as Gammamed Plus.
  • Adequate experience with manually after loaded and remote afterloaded Iridium brachytherapy including head and neck, TRUS guided prostate brachytherapy, ultrasound guided breast brachytherapy and perineal region with or without templates.
  • Long experience on simulator, isocentric telecobalt units like Theratron 780C and high and / or dual energy linear accelerators (including Total Skin Electron Therapy) with MLC and EPID
  • Familiar with CT simulation and virtual simulation using Somavision, AcuSim, Advantage Sim and Plato
  • Well versant with radiotherapy treatment planning systems for teletherapy (3DCRT as well as IMRT) and brachytherapy (including CT guided planning) like Eclipse, Pinnacle, Plato and Brachyvision
  • Experience of modern radiotherapy techniques like 3DCRT, IMRT, ficlucial marker based IGRT and EPID based ART
  • Mould room experience regarding immobilization devices, compensators, individualized shielding blocks etc
  • Teaching experience of seven years
