He has more than 400 research publications in these areas, and he is a visiting faculty member at several Indian and international universities. He is the emeritus Editor theJournal of the Association of Physicians of Indiaand Consultant Editor ofIndian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism
His special areas of work are the Asian Indian phenotype (thin-fat Indian), co-morbidities in hypothyroidism and the impact of vitamin D deficiency on bone health in Asian Indians
He has done work on twin epidemics of diabetes and hypertension in India and Adult Growth Hormone deficiency
Dr. Joshi also has authored more than 18 books and monograms on areas of medicine, diabetes, obesity, short stature, thyroid and osteoporosis for medical students and post graduates
