One of the few and first orthopaedic surgeons in India with formal training in the Ilizarov Method and have been granted an exclusive Power of Attorney to represent the Ilizarov Institute, Kurgan in India.
Founded the Ilizarov India Centre in November, 1996 in collaboration with the Ilizarov Institute, Kurgan, the home of the Ilizarov Methodology. The Centre has been founded with a view to promoting the Ilizarov Technique in India.
Attended Silver Jubilee Conference, “Recent Advances in the use of the Ilizarov Method of Treatment” at the Ilizarov Institute, Kurgan, Russia, in 1996.
Organised a camp in March-April, 1997 in Delhi in association with the Ilizarov Institute, Kurgan. This was the first time that such a camp was held in India. Prof. V.I. Shevtsov, MD, DSc, Gen Director, Ilizarov Institute, and Dr. N.N. Smeylishev, MD, PhD, Senior Consultant, were among those that participated. Cases of post-polio deformities, non-unions and osteomyelitis were successfully treated.
Co-organised an international conference, “Recent Advances in Cartilage Injuries”, at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi in November, 2004. Surgeons from Australia and India participated.
Co-organised an international conference, “Spinal Intervention, Full Spectrum” at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi in April, 2005. Surgeons from Italy, Spain, Russia, the US and India participated.
Started and built the department of Orthopaedics at Apollo Hospitals, Qatar. Worked there as a Senior Specialist in Orthopaedics from November 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008.
