Dr. Swapnil Deshpande

Dr Swapnil Deshpande has completed MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM, Mumbai in 2005 and postgraduation (MS) in general surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College & Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha in 2010. He has also done M.Ch (CVTS) from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh in 2013.
He has developed the special skill of performing minimally invasive or keyhole cardiac surgery. His special interests include beating heart bypass surgery, hybrid cardiac surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and transcatheter aortic and mitral valve implantation. He has already performed over 1000 cardiac surgeries in Nagpur and Wardha.
He has been the winner of the best paper award at MASICON 2009, Aurangabad and Medsurge 2013, Goa. He was awarded the Outstanding Young Achiever Award of Academy of Medical Sciences Nagpur in February 2018. He has presented papers at the prestigious conferences like the 14th ISMICS Boston, MA, USA, 25th WSCTS Edinburgh, the U.K. and the national cardiac surgery conferences. Recently, he was an International Faculty at the 4th World Congress of Cardio-Thoracic and Renal Disorders, Lisbon, Portugal on Hybrid Cardiac Surgery Procedures.
