Dr. Vijay Kumar Rai is thoroughly experienced with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to gastroenterology that includes Endoscopic retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Spy Glass, confocal laser endomicroscopy and many more. He has considerable exposure to Gastroduodendoscopy and colonoscopy-related procedures, including argon plasma coagulation (APC), Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA), peg tube placements and others. Further, he is well-versed in  double balloon and single balloon Enteroscopy and capsule endoscopy, as well as high-resolution manometry and motility study, oesophageal stricture dilatation, achalasia management, liver biopsy and fibro scans.

Dr.Vijay Kumar Rai won several awards during his academic days and was also the recipient of a stipend fellowship in endoscopic ultrasound training at Asan Medical Centre, Seoul, South Korea. This was part of the young endoscopist award bestowed on him by the Korean Gastroenterology Society. He has been involved in clinical research and has several publications to his credit in peer-reviewed journals and medical updates. He has presented posters and delivered lectures at meets connected to his area of expertise. He is a member of several medical associations and serves as a governing council member of the society of gastrointestinal endoscopy of India.
