Brachial plexus palsy occurs when the nerves of brachial plexus are damaged. Brachial plexus palsy may happen in children during birth because of a stretch injury to your child\'s head, neck and shoulder. This happens especially during difficult or complex births. This condition may need surgical treatment for the potential outcome.
Some of the symptoms of Brachial plexus palsy:
- Lack of muscle control in the arm
- Weakness in one arm
- Loss of feeling in the arm
- Partial or total paralysis of the arm
- Trouble in moving the arm, wrist or hand

Consult a doctor if you see signs of weakness, partial or total paralysis in one arm. The doctor may conduct few tests to diagnose the severity of the condition followed by treatment.
