Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency (AAT) is a genetic disorder condition that leads to decreased production protein named Alpha-1 antitrypsin in liver. The protein travels to all body parts and protects lungs. The AAT deficiency would prompt lung and liver disorders. The less production of protein gets struck in liver cells and cannot travel through bloodstream. Usually people in 40’s and 50’s develop this type of deficiency.
