Atherosclerosis is also known as Arteriosclerosis vascular disease or ASVD. Atherosclerosis is hardening and narrowing of arteries by building up plaque inside. Arteries are blood vessel which carries oxygen rich blood to heart and other parts of the body. Atherosclerosis may cause serious health problems as heart attack, stroke and life threatening. It can block any artery which affects any part of the body as heart, brain, arms, legs, pelvis and kidneys.
