Athlete's Foot is also called Ringworm of the foot, tinea pedis, tinea pedum and moccasin foot. Athlete\'s foot is a fungal infection that usually starts between the toes. Athlete\'s foot is caused by the same type of fungus that causes ringworm and jock itch. It is contagious that can spread by contact with infected person. People with weak immune system are more prone to this infection.
Some of the symptoms of Athlete\'s Foot:
- Scaly red rash
- Blister or ulcers
- Fissuring of the skin
- Odor due to bacterial infection
- Swelling
