Cardiac Dysrhythmia is variation in the regular heart beat that can be life threatening. The irregular heart pacing may range from low to high. The two major types of heart dysrhythmia are Tachycardia and Bradycardia. Tachycardia originates in the atria or ventricles where the heart rate is over 100 beats per minute. Bradycardia is a slow heart rhythm that records fewer than 60 beats per minute. There are several external and internal factors that cause dysrhythmia.
External factors include:-
- Overexertion
- Cigarette smoking
- Heavy consumption of caffeine, cocaine and decongestants
Internal factors:-
- Thyroid problems
- Autonomic nervous system disorders
