Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine or lateral deviation of the spine instead of growing straight. There are many types of scoliosis and it can affect people of all ages. Adult scoliosis is mostly due to degeneration of structures that support the spine. Adult scoliosis may develop with to aging and arthritis, where there is gradual narrowing of disc spaces between vertebrae, wearing out of the joints as well as narrowing spaces between nerves.
Some of the symptoms of Adult Scoliosis:
- Pain and problem in legs as numbness, weakness, heaviness, etc
- Arched posture of back
- Back pain
