Ankle Instability is a condition where the outer ligaments of the ankle get stretched leading to instability in the ankle resulting in frequent ankle sprains. Ankle instability can be treated without surgery by strengthening of muscles though surgery is required in some cases to tighten up the ligaments supporting outside of the ankle.
