Ankle Ligament Rupture is also called Ankle Ligament Injury. An ankle ligament rupture means that the ligament ends are no longer in connection which makes the ligament unstable in joints. The injury or rupture occurs when the foot twists inwards with force. All the body weight falls on lateral ankle ligaments, the anterior and middle fibers of the ankle stretch to tear or sprain in the ankle.

- Sudden swelling
- Severe pain
- Discomfort and pain in movement of ankle
