Anthrax is a rare but seriously dangerous disease that is caused by bacterium named Bacillus anthracis. The bacteria is spread directly or indirectly when comes in contact with and it may enter human body through a wound in the skin. It may affect both humans and other animals. Inhaling anthrax may be more tough to treat and can be critical. Anthrax can be affected in four different ways Cutaneous anthrax, Gastrointestinal anthrax, Inhalation or pulmonary anthrax and Injection anthrax.
Some of the symptoms of Anthrax:
Cutaneous anthrax
- Itcy bump resembling insect bite
- Swelling in the lymph glands
Gastrointestinal anthrax
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain and loss of appetite
- Fever and sore throat
- Swollen neck
Inhalation or Pulmonary anthrax
- Flu-like symptoms
- Breathing difficulty
- Nausea and blood in cough
- Painful swallowing
- Fever
Injection anthrax
- Redness in area of injection
- Swelling
- Shock and meningitis
- Organs failure
