Antiphospholipid Syndrome or Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS or APLS) is also known as Hughes Syndrome is an autoimmune disorder associated with pregnancy complications, thrombosis, autoimmune thrombocytopenia, fetal growth disorder, preeclampsia and fetal loss. Antiphospholipid syndrome may cause blood clots to inform in your leg veins and organs like kidneys or lungs. There is no complete cure for the disorder but the right medication may reduce the risk of blood clots.
