Aortoenteric Fistula (AEF) is a connection between the aorta and the intestines. The development of Aortoenteric fistula can be serious life threatening condition that is difficult to diagnose. There are two types of Aortoenteric fistula: primary AEF and secondary AEF.
Some of the symptoms of Aortoenteric Fistula:
- Blood in stools
- Persistent fever
- Low blood pressure
- Varied heart rate
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a doctor if you have signs of infection and gastrointestinal bleeding right at the movement as early diagnosis and treatment is required.
