Apert Syndrome is a congenital disorder of malformations of skull, face, hands and feet. Apert Syndrome has no cure but can be corrected by surgery. Many children with Apert syndrome may also have other birth defects. One in 65,000 babies may be born with Apert Syndrome, which may be caused by a rare mutation on a single gene.
Some of the symptoms of Apert Syndrome:
- Head that is long with high forehead
- Wide set bulging eyes
- Short thumb with radial deviation

Consult a doctor if you notice the signs of Apert syndrome, the doctor may suggest surgery to correct the disorder.
