B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia is also known as chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). This is the most common type of leukemia in adults. B-cells are originated in bone marrow that develops in lymph nodes producing antibodies to fight infections. In case of CLL, B cells over grow and accumulate in bone marrow and blood. The ground cause of chronic lymphoid leukemia is unknown, usually affects older aged people and more common men than women.
Some of the symptoms of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL):
- Abnormal bruising
- Enlarged lymph nodes
- Excess sweating
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Recurring infections
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a doctor if you have signs low platelets, fatigue and sudden weight loss that worries you. The doctor may suggest you some tests to diagnose the real condition.
