Basal-Cell Carcinoma is also called basal cell cancer (BCC). It is a skin cancer that occurs on skin\'s basal cells that develop a mutation in its DNA. Basal cells are found below the epidermis which is the outermost layer of the skin. Basal cells produce new skin cells and push the dead older cells towards the skin\'s surface. A mutation in the DNA causes a basal cell to multiply rapidly that continue to grow, the accumulation of abnormal cells may form a cancerous tumor.
Some of the symptoms of Basal Cell Carcinoma:
- Pearly white or waxy bump
- Flat scaly, brown or flesh-colored patch
- White waxy scar
