Cervical Cancer is the abnormal and uncontrolled growth of the cells on the cervix. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in women which can be successfully treated at an early stage. Most cervical cancers are caused by a virus called human papillomavirus or HPV which may be affected by having sexual contact with a person who is having this infection. Some of them may be caused by genital warts. Cervical cancer can be diagnosed by Pap smear or other procedures that include cervix tissue.
Some of the symptoms of Cervical Cancer:-
- Bleeding occurs between regular and menstrual periods
- Bleeding after sexual intercourse
- Abnormal vaginal discharge
- Longer menstrual periods
- Bleeding after going through menopause
- Pelvic pain
- Pain during intercourse
