Allergy is a highly sensitive disorder of the immune system that is inflamed when a foreign substance comes in contact with the skin. The major factors that develop allergy are classified by the host and environmental factors. Host factors would include heredity, age, sex and race whereas environmental factors include infectious diseases, environmental pollution, dietary changes and allergen levels. The commonly affected organs due to allergy are: Nose, Sinuses, Eyes, Airways, Ears, Skin and Gastrointestinal tract.
