Actinic Keratosis is also called Solar Keratosis. An Actinic Keratoses are small rough patches that form on the skin due to high exposure of sun. Actinic Keratosis is common in fair-skinned people, particularly those with blue eyes, red-haired, those who have a tendency to burn skin easily in the sun. Usually, men are more affected than women.
Some of the symptoms of Actinic Keratosis:
- Rough, dry and scaly patches on skin
- Color varies to pink, red or brown, or flesh-colored
- Itching or burning in the affected area
