Consultation Fees is nominal @ INR 70. Staff as well as the Doctor who attended to me are efficient and appear to be happy with their Work and Organization. But, beware, if they come to know that you can afford a high price for the Glasses they fleece you. The Gentleman, Mr. Prabhu, at the "Spectacles Counter" made a Bill for INR 4,000 or so for Progressive Glasses. He said the Spectacles can be delivered only on 10 November 2018. I told him as I am working abroad and have to travel on 9 November 2018. Then he took me to the Cash Counter- the lady also said Delivery will be on 10th November 2018. Mr. Prabhu told her I have to travel abroad on 09 November 2018. She saw the Invoice and immediately said "No, No...This Glass is not INR 4,000. It is INR 7,500". Yesterday 08 November 2018, I went to collect the Glasses..The Gentleman who delivered me the Glasses is apparently not experienced. He did not think it wise to hide the Supplier invoice from me, while opening the Bundle containing my Item...The Supplier's price was INR 3,167.50. So, the Hospital has made a margin of 136.78% in just 3 days and I do not know when they will pay the Supplier. So, Please beware of this unhealthy practice by Bhagwan Mahaveer Eye Hospital in Royapuram, Chennai.
