Read MoreI took my father to this hospital thinking that this is good cancer institute in Dehradun.....we kept on taking rounds for a month but my dad was not given any treatment...we used to reach there in the morning and come back in the eve...we along with our ailing father used to hop cancer dept to general and to various other testing facilities...there was hardly any coordination amongst any dept.I am trying to sum up the entire series of happening or should I say mishappenigs. 1. We took my father to himalaya Institute on 10th Nov 2020 to show head of dept...the doc suggested that PET scan needs to be done to see the spread, this were to start in the institute only so we waited till given date but it never happened due to some compliance issues...we got this done at Merrut. 2. On next visit we were asked to meet radiologist as this was his case...mind u seeking appointment is anothet task...u dont get to see the senior doc but their students who one after another keep on checking your patient and keep on giving stupid advices . Every time my daddy had to get variuos blood and other tests done. 3. We kept on meeting various docs of various depts and kept on doing various test...radiologist suggested biopsy which the concerned dept was not ready to do as my father's doppler confirmed dvt. After meeting arrys of docs we managed to zero down to few docs who would closely look my daddy's case. Here I would mention the worst doc I ever met ..this doc was specialist for veins ..he hardly was paying attention to my daddys case and before I saw him spending 45min with a patient who had very mild blood pressure issue and every time we visited him this was the case . He was avoiding our case and was not ready to prescribe any medicine or treatment. 4. Now biopsy dept kept us hanging...a doc said that dvt should be taken care first and biopsy can wait..again various rounds to hospital ...mind u we were traveling from Dehradun everytime...my daddy who was walking on his own legs from piller to post could not walk this extensive any more and started using wheel chair...we were badly confused as to go for biopsy or dvt treatment...Radiologist suggested biopsy should be done first and then dvt will be taken care. 5. Finally Sat 5th Dec my daddy underwent biopsy and was admitted in after care ward, he collapsed while coming from bathroom . God knows how this was done the healing which normally takes 5- 7 days was not done even on 15th day..my daddy didnt had Sugar....we kept on discussing docs they suggested ointment ...he was in severe pain.... by now his clexane injections for dvt started. On suggested day we went there for report and stitches removal. A junior doc did it and left two stitches there without telling us ...we got to know about this when later these stitches caused unbearable pain along with inflammation....worth mentioning that after biopsy doc didnt suggested any antibiotic while discharging...at home when we realised it we called them and then they amended this mistake. Ok lets come to the report part it was negative for any malignancy...we were happy but when we showed it to concerned doc he said this cant happen and asked to get the slide check chemically...again rounds of visits. 6. In the mean time worst happen and my daddy had brain stroke where in his right hand was not responding...we took him to hospital to again experience super careless attitude...half day gone no ct scan was done and no medicine or treatment was given...we had to bring him back to Dehradun to get scan done. No immediate treatment was given and my daddys condition was going bad to worse...he was not able to sleep and lot of pain in stomach . Entire scene had changed after biopsy. He was on medicine prescibed by onco neurologist. His condition was deteriorating very fast... he was all good before biopsy just was feeling a knot in left groin and swelling in same feet . As he was in very bad shape we took him to other hospital and on 22nd he had his second brain stroke in which he stopped talking and recognizing any one . Had this case was taken care properly and tretment was given timely all this would not have happned...later on htc report also came positive.how can a hospital can be so careless in giving biopsy reSo many incidence of negligence and carelessness....pls dont take ur loved ones to this hospital.
