Read MoreMy cousin sister DIED in this hospital as the doctors, Deepak Krishnamurthy(cardiology),R.Sivakumar (Neurology) and Sushmarani (Nephrology) who attended her either do not have the required experience to treat her on time to save her life or did not tried to understand her health condition before starting any procedures. She was already in the CCU and was talking. In an effort to increase the hospital bill amount, it looks like she was put under unwanted procedures by doctors and that resulted in cardiac arrest. When a person is already in CCU, why such a situation was not attended timely? or CCU do not have experienced doctors to deal with such emergencies ??? If she is in a small clinic, the doctors there could have saved her life. It is very unfortunate that this big banner hospital do not have experienced doctors. What is the use of big banner and big building if it do not have good doctors ??? Her relative was saying that R.Sivakumar, Neurologist behaved very irresponsible way which is not expected in hospital settings. He turned up to CCU to see the patient after 7 hours of request made by the relatives???????????????, he should have reached there in less than 5 minutes if he is serious about his profession. Ego does not have a place in medical profession as you are dealing with the life of patients?? Let Dr.Sivakumar understand this basic factor.

Read MoreMy father had consulted with Dr. Shivakumar for imbalance and numbness on the left half of the body. Based on a clean MRI and B12 deficiency, he was prescribed 3 months of B12 injections. Unfortunately, even before the course completed he suffered from a stroke and we got him admitted to Sakra on a Thursday morning. Thursday evening he spoke to everyone even reminding that he hadnt had his morning tea yet. However, early Fri morning, he was hurried into a craniectomy surgery (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decompressive_craniectomy) and out he came in a coma. Mutiple external specialists who have independently provided me with a feedback have voiced doubts over the management - from the lack of thrombolysis to the need for craniectomy , In addition, we came in touch with patients who hadnt recovered similarly or wound up in paralysis post unrelated surgery. You can be the judge of Sakra Neuro. Dont get misled by names of neuro surgeons, that they have poached from elsewhere. Your case will be dependent on ICU folks and neurologist (who are inexperienced) compared to a surgeon. Aso, the big shot surgeon in my fathers case wasnt even aware that my father had previously consulted at Sakra. My father is currently in MHB where the ICU system is transparent and patient-friendly compared to Sakra. Neuro/ICU are way more respectful of relative's emotions. Heck, I even met a patient who previously survived a stroke from MHB, readmitted for wheezing. This time around, he was joking around and enquired about my father. Sakra doesnt have detailed ICU charts for hourly inspections that can be reviewed or they dont make it available for relatives to see. I will be fine with the latter if they can rescue patients 100% of the time. If not give relatives their right to all the data. They asked us to prepare for the final rites since he had multiple complications more than month back. Guess what, my father's vitals are still fine. Yes, he needs to recover from the brain insult at Sakra.
