Read MoreVision Multispeciality hospital should be strictly avoided especially for orthopaedic needs. If I could give it a zero rating, I would do so. Their main orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Harish Tople, is the most arrogant and self-conceited surgeon I have come across. We live in New Zealand. My daughter had an accident in Goa on 30 December 2019 where she suffered multiple fracture and dislocation of her ankle. This happened at 10.00 pm. She was taken to Vision Hospital. The hospital staff in attendance were completely incompetent. They would not remove her shoe from her ankle which was twisted awkwardly as a result of the fracture. We had to remove her shoe. They then asked the ambulance staff to help with the Xray as none of their nurses or assistants were willing to touch her She was screaming in pain and they only gave her mild pain killers. After a lot of arguments, they gave her a single dose of Tramadol, and some Panadol. They did not try any fentanyl which was needed for such a grievous injury and which was finally given to her when we took the decision to move her to another hospital after she was left in this terrible state for 14 hours through the night. The surgeon who finally attended to her was Dr Harish Tople. He claimed to me in the morning, on phone, that he had done an 80% closed reduction of the ankle, which he had clearly not done as the Xrays that were sent to New Zealand and examined by a team of othodpaedic surgeons here, showed that there had not been any reduction done. Senior orthopaedic surgeons in New Zealand had advised that such injuries need to be treated with a closed reduction first, allow for the swelling to reduce, before performing surgery. When I questioned him, he was rude and said that either we agree to the surgery immediately or he is too busy to assist. He also lied to me to say that he had already done 80% of closed reduction. The Xray clearly showed that he had not done this. We refused to sign the consent and moved her to Galaxy Hospital. By this time she had been kept screaming in excruciating pain for the whole night. We saved her by moving her to Galaxy Hospital. Vision hospital may be good for opthalmology, but they do not have the expertise or knowledge in any other discipline. Their staff are poorly trained in handling trauma or other serious medical conditions. And their orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Harish Tople, seems to have no recollection of the Code of Medical Ethics of the Indian Medical Council which states that a doctor must be "diligent in caring for the sick; he should be modest, sober, patient, prompt in discharging his duty without anxiety"

But EVERY TIME we had to wait a minimum of 1.5 hours even after appointment. It was a very horrible experience. The management need to find ways to improve this as it is a big pain for the patients. Looks like they are trying to take too much advantage of the word "Patient" (Patience).
