Bursitis is a painful condition of inflammation or irritation of the bursa. The bursa is a small cushion-like sac that is filled with lubricating fluid, located between tissues as bone, muscle, tendons and skin. This condition would decrease friction or rubbing and creates irritation. Some of the common causes of bursitis are repetitive motions or positions that irritate the bursae around the joint as repeated lifting some weights overhead, leaning on elbows for long time, prolonged sitting on hard surfaces and more. The major parts of the body, that affect bursitis are elbow, shoulder, hip, knee and Achilles tendon.

- More hurting in movement and pressure applied
