Dear Patient: Usually in the neck infections, the lymphnodes get swollen and they need to be tested through FNAC., wherein the core of it is visualised for the changes in the cell types. CT scan also helps in the same. Then relevant antibiotic course is administered. If it is very severe then surgical intervention is needed to remove the infectious part out. Consult an ENT surgeon for further treatment.
